New here? Welcome.
Your first steps into the biblical languages
New here? Welcome. You don't need a seminary background, a textbook shelf, or any experience at all — just the desire to read God's Word in its own words. Here's how to begin.
Choose your language
Most students start with the language of the text they love most: Hebrew for the Old Testament, Greek for the New. There is no wrong door — and many learners eventually walk through both.
Start Level 1 — free
Each path begins with a twelve-week Level 1 curriculum built on stories, pictures, and conversation. No prerequisites, no cost, no account required.
Learn with others
When you're ready, apply for a free live cohort — small online classes taught primarily in Hebrew or Greek — and keep our illustrated readers beside you as you grow.
An honest comparison
Which language first?
An honest comparison, from teachers who love both:
עִבְרִית
Biblical Hebrew
Hebrew opens roughly three quarters of the Bible — narrative, psalm, and prophecy. Our Hebrew path is also our most developed, with six levels available today.
Ἑλληνική
Koine Greek
Greek opens the New Testament — Gospels, epistles, and Revelation. Level 1 is open now, with more levels arriving soon. If your heart is in the New Testament, start here.
Prefer learning with a teacher and classmates? Our free live cohorts are open for applications — and our free resources are yours either way.
