Lingua Deo Gloria Ministries respects you and your privacy. This page explains, in plain language, what information passes through this website and what we do with it.

What we collect

Browsing this site requires no account and no personal information. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) to operate the service securely. We do not show advertising on this site, and we do not sell or rent anyone's information.

Donations

Donations are processed by Zeffy, an independent platform. When you give, the information you enter is handled by Zeffy under its own privacy policy; we receive the details needed for receipts and records (such as your name, email, and gift amount). Donations to Lingua Deo Gloria Ministries, a 501(c)(3) organization, are tax deductible and non-refundable.

Email

If you write to us, we keep your message so we can respond and serve you well. If you join our mailing list, we use your address only to send ministry updates, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe. New subscribers are asked to confirm their address by email before they are added. The list is kept with an email service provider that sends our messages for us under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and advertising measurement

As part of a nonprofit program, we advertise on Google so more people can find these free resources. To learn which ads lead people to start learning, this website can load Google's measurement tag. That tag uses cookies, so it loads only if you choose "Accept" on the cookie notice; if you choose "No thanks," or do nothing, it never loads. Everything else on the site works the same either way, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

The Lingua Deo Gloria learning app

Our free learning app (for Biblical Hebrew and Koine Greek, on the web and in the iOS and Android apps) needs no account, no sign-in, and no personal information. Your progress and settings are saved only on your own device; we cannot see them, and clearing the app's data erases them. The app has no advertising. On the web version we use Vercel Web Analytics to count visitors and page views in aggregate. It sets no cookies, collects no personal information, and cannot identify you or follow you to other websites; it records only general details such as the page viewed, your country, and your device and browser type. The iOS and Android apps do not include it. If you tap the feedback button, the app opens your own email program with a message to us, and nothing is sent unless you send it.

Some lessons play videos from YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive. These players load along with the lesson, so those services can see your device's internet address, and they may set cookies or collect usage data under their own policies. For YouTube we use its privacy-enhanced mode, in which YouTube says it stores no information about you until you press play. Our lessons use YouTube API Services: by watching YouTube videos you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy explains how Google handles information from its video player.

Embedded content

Some pages embed content from other services — for example, videos (YouTube), audio (Spotify), or the Zeffy donation form. Those services may set cookies or collect usage data under their own policies when you interact with them. On this website, our video embeds use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and load only after you press play.

Keeping your information safe

Everything on this website, and everything the app loads from the internet, travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. We keep the messages you send us only as long as they help us serve you, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time by writing to admin@linguadeogloria.com. Donation receipts and records may be kept as the law requires.

Children

Our materials welcome learners of all ages, but this website is not designed to collect information from children, and we do not knowingly do so.
